Born in Cirencester, England, Cozy Powell, was without doubt one of the best drummers ever - surely confirmed by the impressive the list of giants of the rock world who he played with. I saw him several times myself when he was playing with such bands as Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Black Sabbath etc. ....... He was tragically killed in April 1998 when he crashed his car at high speed on the M4 Motorway near Bristol in England ........ sad loss .................. Evan .............
