Aminiasi Toge  (Lightning , Togey)

26 year old Aminiasi Toge was born in Suva, Fiji he was one of two twin brothers. He left the South Pacific paradise to serve with the British Army. He trained as a Rifleman and following training in Catterick, he embarked upon a tour of duty in Kosovo. Prior to being deployed to Afghanistan, he was based with his regiment (2nd Battalion The Rifles) in Ballykinler, County Down, Northern Ireland. Sadly, whilst on foot patrol near Gereshk in central Helmand Province he was killed by an explosion on Thursday 16-July-09 (it would have been his 27th birthday three days later). This soldiers death had taken the number of UK troops killed in the Afghan conflict to 185 (since October 2001) - more than the total number killed in the Iraq war.
