Jason G. Ward

34 year old Major Jason Ward was a Royal Marine officer from Torquay in Devon. He was attached to 3 Commando Brigade who were based at Stonehouse barracks in Plymouth. He had been a Royal Marine for fifteen years when he was tragically killed in a Helicopter crash on Friday 21-March-2003. He was one of the 8 British service personnel who lost their lives when the US Sea Knight went down in Kuwait (near the Iraq border) due to a mechanical failure
