Dewi Pritchard ( - 2003)

Dewi Pritchard

35 year old Dewi Pritchard was originally from the Rhondda Valley in South Wales but had moved to Bridgend. He was working at the Bosch alternator plant (which is located between Pendoylan and Miskin in South Wales) as his normal peacetime job but was also a member of the TA on a part time basis. He had been deployed to Iraq and it was there, sadly that he was killed whilst on operations on 22-August-2003 when he was serving with the Territorial Army - 116 Provost Company (Volunteers), Royal Military Police. The British Army vehicle he was travelling in was attacked by gunmen - a group of men in a truck drew up alongside their vehicle and opened fire (2 other British servicemen were also killed in the incident)
