Stephen Jones ( - 2004)

Stephen Jones

22 year old Stephen was from Denbeigh in North Wales. He had joined the British Army in 1999 straight from school. He was a sports fanatic who wished to become an Army physical training instructor. He was posted to Iraq to commence a tour of duty in April 2004 (just one month after he had got married). He was a fusilier serving with a company of the 1st Battalion of the Royal Welch Fusiliers (A Company). He died at al-Amarah (Maysan) following head injuries sustained in a traffic accident on 10-Sept-04. His funeral was held at the Llanrhaeadr Parish Church.
